Robert F. Kauffman is a retired art teacher who now resides in Northern Michigan. He has taught students from early elementary through college. His educational background includes two degrees from Wayne State University, a bachelor of science in art education and a master of fine art with an emphasis in design and composition.

For 31 years he taught a wide range of art related subjects including art fundamentals, drawing and painting, watercolor, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry and fine art graphics. Although considered by some an expert on woodcut relief printing, his current interest is nature photography. He is active in Northwest Michigan Artists and Craftsman, a local art association, and exhibits his work at the Bella Gallerina on the peninsula in Grand Traverse Bay, Traverse City, Michigan.

Robert H. Kauffman is a practicing chiropractor in Northwest Indiana. He has a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College in Iowa, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. He first started taking photographs at the age of 13 under the guidance of his father Robert F. Kauffman.

He is an active member of Lake County Parks photography club, and he has been published nationally. He has exhibited locally at the Carol A. Derner Gallery and is a contributing photographer to an upcoming publication called "Oregionality" - a coffee table book featuring Northwest Indiana.
